Raphaela Lukudo is an Italian-Sudanese sprinter specialized in the 400 m, who won four medals at international senior level with Italian national track relay team of the ×ばつ400 m relay.
I don't mind this feminine variant of Raphael, but I was quite surprised to learn that both Raphael and Raphaela were both used in the German language, rather than the Italian and Spanish languages, which is what I assumed. :)
Beautiful name with a beautiful meaning (see meaning of Raphael) and a wonderful connotation (the painter Raphael). True, there's the Ninja Turtle connection, too, but I think of Raphael the artist before I think of Raphael the turtle. Cute nickname possibilities, too: Raphie/Raffee, Fee, Ella, Ellie. I would not be surprised if this name gained some popularity. But I hope it doesn't, I like how rare it is in America.
