I think this is one of the cutest names for a girl; it flows so nicely off of the tongue.

I named my youngest daughter Lainey Rose (Lainey Bug), I’ve always loved the name Lainey, as a nickname as well as a first name. I also liked the movie "She's All That", with the title character Lainey Boggs. I know there are different spellings of Lainey, like Laney College, and I don’t think you can go wrong with however it’s spelled, because the name is just fun & happy & positive to say!

I first heard Lainie in an old 80's movie, with Cory Haim and Cory Feldman. It was called, "Dream a little Dream." The "hot" girl was an actress named Meradith Salanger. She was so pretty and her name was Lainie. I always liked it. And it was different. My grandmother also loved it as it was the name of an actress in the 50's named Lainie Kazan. She said it was a very classic and glamorous name. I think so. And I love how I spell it.

Lainie was the troubled crazy girl in the book Freeze Tag. That kinda ruined the name for me.
