Johan is a nice name. I love the pronunciation. Hate it on a girl.

I like the name Johan because in my opinion, it's strong and suitable for a male of any age. However, the name Johan is overused in my country among Catholic/Christian people. We pronounce it with J or Y. The German variant Johann is also great.

What a cool, strong name for a male.

I don’t understand why people think that Johan is a feminine name! Johan is a boy’s name. What is so wrong with Johana for a girl? Not every single male name should be feminine! It may be unique on a girl, but it’s also gender confusing too unless she looks really girly! Johan is only a boy’s name in my book! I think that Johan is a handsome name for a boy and it’s more unique than John. John is so popular right now!
I'd choose this name for my son either Johan or Jonah, and I wouldn't pronounce it Yo-hahn but Jo-Hahn. I like names that are not overly popular.

Beautiful name, it makes me think of a handsome, sophisticated guy/man, it's also cute for a child, it sounds upperclass and elegant, without being too long or complex. I love this name.
