Why is this name categorized as "earth" and "stone"? It looks like a mistake, as Henriëtte & Mariëtte aren't catergorized as it either and don't have etymologies relating to anything earth-related.

Usages: Dutch, Limburgish
Meaning: Dutch short form of Jette or Jetteke, and Limburgish short form of Juliette.

Pretty! Reminds me of Joan Jett, even though I know they are pronounced and spelled differently. Very cool.

So nobody’s gonna talk about the show Ready Jet Go?

Why is this name rated so low?
Jet The Hawk (boy) is a fictional character from the awesome video game association Sonic The Hedgehog. Jet and Sonic are rather friends instead of enemies. Jet The Hedgehog is male so I think Jet is more of a masculine name than a feminine name, sorry girls ): even though I am a girl :) lol.

Jet is strictly a feminine name in origin, as Jett is strictly a male name, but it looks better spelled Jette on a girl, even though I would not give my son a feminine name like Jet.

I was named Jet and I adore this name! Jets are the modern symbol of humans' domination of sky. Think about that!
I think it should be spelled "Jett" for a girl and "Jet" for a boy. But that's just me.

Pronunced "YET" in Dutch.

Shouldn't this also be considered an alternate spelling of JETT?

It's pronounced like the English word 'yet' (source: I'm Dutch).

My mother's family used a lot of gem names for girls, and Jet, as in the semi-precious stone, was used alongside other more traditional ones.
