Christoph is a sharp and striking name. Emphatically underused as well. I likely wouldn't use it myself mainly because I have a sister named Kristina, so it wouldn't make sense for me to, at least not as a first name anyway, but I feel it adds more interest and is more intriguing than Christopher. I get if others don't particularly care for Christoph or even may find it to be too harsh or incomplete, but that's probably to be expected. As for me, I wished the name was used more often. Although I understand it's far more common in places such as Germany and in Austria.
A famous bearer of the name Christoph is video game character Kristoph Gavin from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. I prefer his spelling of Kristoph to Christoph.
