Krystian Adam Krzeszowiak (Tenor)

Born: Jawor, Poland

The Polish tenor, Krystian Adam Krzeszowiak (AKA Krystian Adam), studied singing with Bogdan Makal at the Music Academy in Wroclaw, winning several scholarships from the Poland Governement. In January 2006 he graduated with the highest honours in singing and musical teaching methods. He moved to Milan, where he continued his studies with Rita Orlandi di Malaspina at the G. Verdi conservatoire, winning a scholarship at the International Music Academy in Milan. He is currently studying under Susanna Lotito痴 guidance.

Krystian Adam made his début singing Conte d但lmaviva in Rossini痴 Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and he then performed the main roles in La Clemenza di Tito and Il Matrimonio segreto. He recorded Antonio Vivaldi's Griselda for the Deutschland Radio, W.A. MozartRequiem, L.v. BeethovenSymphony No. 9 for Wroclaw痴 Radio and Schubert痴 and Schumann痴 Lieder for the TVP. In 2003-2004 he took part in the Grosse Strauss Gala at the Wien Konzerthaus and at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. In 2006 he sung for the Tuscany Opera Festival. He sang in several festivals, such as Wratislavia Cantans, Forummusicum, Uckermark Music Festival, collaborating with Gianluca Capuano, Francesco Fanna, Ian Adamus, Romano Vettori, Giulio Prandi.

In July 2007, Krystian Adam sang Grimoaldo in George Frideric HandelRodelinda, Ian Adamus conducting Capella Cracoviensis. In September of the same year, he made his début at the Teatro alla Scala singing one of the roles in the world première of Fabio Vacchi痴 Teneke, Roberto Abbado conducting. In the following months he was invited to perform some sacred pieces by Carissimi at the Festival Nuove Settimane Barocche in Brescia and MiTo Festival in Milan.

Krystian Adam recently sang G.F. HandelMessiah in Danzica with Cappella Gedanensis, J.S. BachMagnificat (BWV 243) with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, Gnocchi痴 comic opera Amore scioglie i pregiudizi with the Ensemble il Falcone in Genova. In Poland, he was awarded the 釘est début of the year 2008? prize for his interpretation of the role of Tassilo in Kalman痴 Countess Maritza.

Krystian Adam recorded Giovanni Battista PergolesiDixit Dominus for the Deutsche Grammophon, Claudio Abbado痴 conducting. He recently took on the role of Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro and sang in Jommelli痴 Betulia Liberata in Breslavia and Templin. He made his début at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa with Stradella痴 La Passione (Giovanni) under Diego Fasolis.

HandelIl Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno (Tempo) with Fabio Bonizzoni and La Risonanza in The Hague, Regensburg, Melk and Schärding; Il Finto Turco by Piccinni (world première in modern times) at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza with L但rte dell但rco and Federico Guglielmo. Then he sung G.F. HandelAriodante (Lurcanio) with Modo Antiquo and Federico Maria Sardelli at the Festival International de Musique Baroque de Beaune and at the Festival 天ia Stellae? in Santiago de Compostela; Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Il conte d但lmaviva) in Gliwice and Chorzow; Il mondo alla rovescia (Girasole) by Salieri (world première in modern times) at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona under the baton of Federico Maria Sardelli; A. VivaldiGriselda (Corrado) and G.F. HandelTheodora (Septimus) with Capella Cracoviensis and Ian Adamus; Purcell痴 Dido and Aeneas (Spirit and Sailor) at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice in a new production directed by Saburo Teshigawara and conducted by Attilio Cremonesi; Le Cinesi at the Musikfestspiele in Potsdam with Orchestra L'arte del mondo and Werner Ehrhardt; Ottone in Villa (Decio) at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik with Giovanni Antonini and Il Giardino Armonico; Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Pedrillo) on tour in Northern Italy with Corrado Rovaris and Jonathan Webb; La Giuditta (Oloferne) by Alessandro Scarlatti in Rotterdam with Hernán Schvartzman.
