Hwan-Cheol Ahn (Tenor)
Born: South Korea
The Korean tenor, Hwan-Cheol Ahn, is a member of Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart (Directors: Helmuth Rilling& Hans-Christoph Rademann), MDR Rundfunkchor and Vokalensemble Cantus Spiritualis. He also performs as a soloist. In April 2014, he participated as a soloist in performance of Korean composer Geonyong Lee's Die Passion Jesu Christi with Johanniskantorei Mannheim, conducted Claudia Sobotzik at Johanniskirche Ma-Lindenhof. In January 2018, he participated as a soloist in performance of Heinrich von Herzogenberg's oratorio Die Geburt Christi with Heinrich-Schütz-Chor Gera, Singakademie Gera, Mädchenchor des musischen Gymnasiums Rutheneum & members of Vogtland-Philharmonie Greiz-Reichenbach, conducted by Benjamin Steielau / Martin Hesse at Ev.-Luth. St. Johannis Gera.
