APA Media Referral Service

The American Psychological Association Media Referral Service (MRS) is a computerized database that APA Public Affairs staffers use to direct the nation's news media to psychologists with expertise on a wide variety of timely issues. The MRS database now contains information on more than 1,400 APA members who have agreed to handle press inquiries.

APA relies heavily on recommendations from leading research institutions, schools of psychology, practicing psychologists and current literature for the names of experts to include in the MRS resource base.
