This page lists human readable changelogs covering the whole installer. These changelogs are inspired by the work done by kernelnewbies.org. They are intended to be read by enthusiasts and tech-savvy users (or customizers) of the installer. Hopefully, these changelogs will help us write a new appendix in the installer manual with guidelines on how to update an installer customization to the new stable version.

During the wheezy release cycle, the Wheezy Alpha 1 release announce was prepared by several people, and kind of kept that spirit; there was less enthusiasm for Beta & RC, so the release manager prepared release announces based on the udeb diffs between past and current debian-installer uploads, using build logs; that is semi-automated, thanks to the prepare-release-announce script.
