Convert page to Airsonic.
Unless someone can offer a good enough reason not to, I think this page should change focus to Airsonic, the FOSS fork of Subsonic. Arch obviously isn't a strictly FOSS distribution, but it would be better to advocate the use of FOSS primarily / first, then mention the proprietary version available. - Subsonic development dropped off a cliff in 2017, with the last minor release being version 6.1 in May 2017. Airsonic appears to be much more active. I support this change. Ichimonji10 (talk) 19:53, 11 August 2019 (UTC) Reply
- I also agree. (FWIW Libresonic has also ceased development.) — Ostiensis (talk) 21:39, 11 August 2019 (UTC) Reply
- There are also several FOSS servers compatible with OpenSubsonic, the community "formal" Subsonic API specification. Some are at least as popular in the general Linux community as Airsonic - eg Navidrome, which is in extra (not AUR) - and bear mentioning as options. Serxxx (talk) 03:46, 2 February 2026 (UTC) Reply
-Sublime Music, +Supersonic
Sublime Music is no longer maintained, and the author themself recommends Supersonic. I suggest removing SM altogether and adding
5.x Supersonic
supersonic-desktop-wayland is a lightweight cross-platform desktop client for Subsonic and Jellyfin written in Go. Glsk (talk) 09:42, 31 January 2026 (UTC) Reply
