The conf file says

# usb <BLANK> Most new UPSes are USB. A blank DEVICE
# setting enables autodetection, which is
# the best choice for most installations.

but still contains as default

UPSTYPE usb
DEVICE /dev/usb/hid/hiddev[0-9]

whereas the wiki says

DEVICE /dev/usb/hiddev[[0-15]]

Should I follow the advice of the wiki, the comments in the conf, or the code in the conf?

It means replace the entry DEVICE /dev/usb/hid/hiddev[0-9] with just DEVICE Beepboo (talk) 21:44, 27 March 2020 (UTC) Reply
