Az AUR takarítási nap (AUR Cleanup Day) kétévente (páratlan években) megrendezett esemény, szeptember 20-án.
Az AUR szoftvercsomag-tárolóban sok elavult szoftvercsomag található, amelyek kiszelektálásra szorulhatnak. Tegyen javaslatokat szoftvercsomagokra a közös dokumentumban (az alábbi sablon szerint), amely az értesítő e-mailben található linkre mutat. Küldje be őket az aur-general levelezőlistára, vagy nyújtson be közvetlenül kérelmeket. A szoftvercsomag-karbantartó felhasználók összegyűlnek, és megerősítik, hogy mely szoftvercsomagokat kell ténylegesen eltávolítani.
