Start your semester off on the right track! Use the checklists below to stay organized and make the most of your financial aid and academic opportunities.

Fall semester checklist

Have you completed your FAFSA?
Have you checked your financial aid requirements in the Financial Aid Portal in Academica?
Planning to take out loans? Accept them in the Financial Aid Portal.
Have you met with your academic advisor?
Are you enrolled full-time to maintain your scholarships?

Winter semester checklist

Have you paid your balance or enrolled in a payment plan?
Have you renewed your FAFSA for the upcoming school year?
Are you on track to complete 30 credit hours to renew your scholarships?
Have you checked your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)?
Are you considering spring/summer classes?

Spring/Summer checklist

Have you applied for spring/summer financial aid?
Have you checked Degree Works to ensure you're on track to graduate?
Have you completed your FAFSA for the upcoming year?
Do you need additional credit hours to renew scholarships?
Be mindful of drop dates—they vary during spring/summer. Check the registration calendar for details.

The 2026–27 FAFSA is open now through June 30, 2027..
Holds on your account can prevent registration. Check your holds in Academica

Verify enrollment
Register for classes
Check course participation
Review financial aid awards
Pay your bill
Track degree progress in Degree Works
Request official transcripts

Important dates

Drop Period: First two weeks of fall and winter semesters. Dropped courses won’t appear on your record and receive 100% tuition cancellation. Spring/summer drop dates vary, please check the registration calendar for details.
Withdrawal Period: After the drop period. Courses will appear with a W grade and no tuition refund.
Financial Aid Disbursement: Generally begins one week before each semester. Course participation is required for disbursement to be finalized.
