So a user can call themselves anything? I had operated a policy that any user calling themselves for example 'FUCKFACE' etc would get a ban, regardless what they wrote or not. Yeah, I have seen you ban users for their usernames in the past. I disagree with all of those bans. Ideas for ICU and "New User Month"

ZB, why not just get rid of the 7-day notice on ICU? Just put the "This article needs more work" tag on it, and they'll see it. They won't be discouraged or afraid of their article getting deleted, they'll just get help with it. Also, maybe try making a quicker Pee Review alternative, such as a QPRV, and have an IRC channel so they can get advice for the article at any time. I just linked Uncyclopedia:Forest Fire Week in a joke within a New Year's Eve themed article strategically set to be featured on Monday. If you could change the redirect the new forum place, if for any reason for some kind of minor publicity, that'd be greeeeat. Same with the other redirects for the sake of convenience: FFW , UN:FFW , Forest Fire Week , and some hypothetical ones I may have missed.

New site not working

I don't know if it's back up by now, but when I try to access the site, I get the following error:

The outage was caused by out team of hard working volunteer technical staff, while trying to fix up the remaining bugs on the new site. So far none of the outages have lasted longer than 5 minutes, and they will definitely end once all the bugs have been fixed. I was going to tap him on the shoulder as he edited here over recently, and he is still an admin here, as far as I know, but he's locked his talk page. Forum:Inactive admins / Forum:Cow tipping

Hey. As a mark of respect I'm bringing these to your attention. On the first a discussion has been raised as to what should be done with admin rights, now that we have a glut of admins that are non-active. I'm considering bringing this to a vote tomorrow (my time) but I'd rather that those who have admin capacity choose to relinquish the privilege rather than be voted out - assuming they are inactive. (Given inactive admins outnumber active regulars, there is a definite need IMO to make a change - especially given the actions of Xamralco, Frosty and RAHB recently.)

On the other - the point you raised was germane, so I added it back to the discussion. Interesting to see the parallel discussion being held at the fork and a very similar outcome being reached that was within CC licence.

Well that's sort of the point. Every effort has been made to make people outside of the small group of regulars here feel unwelcome. It seems obvious to me why those of us who now contribute to uncyclopedia.co find it hard to edit in both places, and have been deemed inactive. If individuals are causing problems those individuals should be dealt with individually. Throwing out all the old admins would be a break in Uncyclopedia tradition and in my opinion yet another step in the wrong direction. -- Brigadier General Sir Zombiebaron 05:28, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

Actually, I'm making the effort to welcome people back here. The only exception is when people are acting against the interest of the wiki - the instances I can think of are damaging edits that promote the fork on a site-wide fashion, like RAHB's recent banner or EMC's changes to nav tools, or acts that damage the content, such as Xam's attempted deletion of a feature. And that's my only concern, but why I raised this topic. Your own edits have been predominantly your complaint over how Chief was 'cratted, and in many of your edits adding yet another link to the fork. At the same time, I read the equivalent forum topic on Cow Tipping, or several other recent forums at the fork, and it seems as though it's considered a running joke to attack myself at the fork, along with other regulars here - which has had the net result of me refusing to do anything at the fork with the exception of a few suggestions I've handed to BB, and comments on a few forums. I am happy to have people contributing here if they're focused on making this wiki better. I would like to ask how linking to Uncyclopedia.co is a form of harming this site. It does not magically decrease links to this uncyclopedia. If you would like to completely censor all references to the fork, please assist us in removing the 15,000 or so links to wikia that exist on the fork.

I left up the edits because I thought it was a April Fools joke in good faith, even if inconvenient in a temporary way. I could have reverted the edits before SPIKE did, but instead changed my preferences to the Wikia skin for a few hours so that I could get admin functions working with the Oasis prank. So I am partly to blame here, too. Frosty - based upon what was asked when we added the link to the fork to the site banner back in January, we don't want to use site wide notices to advertise the fork. That hasn't changed.

Too much weirdness for me. In my limited viewpoint, wikia uncy is the uncy that's censored and has a stupid content warning on it, and I wish we'd all unite in asking wikia to undo at least the content warning part (boobs, I can do without, who can't? Useless bags of smooth flesh, hanging their enticingly, why would anyone waste film/pixels on those?). Uncensored uncy is where lots of people mull about and two of them toss up 50 feature noms on a daily basis and chaos is running after solidity with all eight feet off the ground all the time. It's fun too (I can't edit much there because of my computer connection not allowing some search functions, so I move my pages over once I feel good about polishing them here). To have a rivalry is counter-producive to both sites, and I'd wish we'd all settle on those definitions: Censored uncy and UnCensored Uncy. And the censored bit is just some sexy juicy pics, and obvious child porn like the Vietnam iconic pic that all of us masturbate over on a daily basis (napalm is the ultimate afro-tease-e-ack), not in use of language (not yet anyway). I'd give Frosty a break on the April Fool's trick, it's the same one we've used before so he may have thought it was funny, and Sims did leave it up. Most of the admins have been fine here, and the only negative of any user I've found are the ones trying to say there is only "one" uncyclopedia when obviously there are two versions, one visually censored the other not. p.s. One point though I haven't brought up anywhere, I think we should combine yearly award listings (at least, I'd do monthly if it were just me). For example, both Funnybony and TKF won writer of the year last year, and imnho both sites should reflect that.
