Extreme Programming

Extreme Programming (XP) is a lightweight methodology for small-to-medium-sized teams developing software in the face of vague or rapidly changing requirements. [Extreme Programming Explained]

...why the "extreme" in the name? XP takes commonsence principles and practices to extreme levels. [Extreme Programming Explained]

A thanks to Kent Beck and Martin Fowler: http://www.martinfowler.com/, authors of "Planning Extreme Programming" for pointing to wiki: http://c2.com/, from where I followed the trail to here! [ IanHeggie ]

The original C2.com Wiki has a lot of ExtremeProgramming information, as do other wikis - now that InterWikis is enabled on twiki.org, you can link directly to pages such as Wiki:ExtremeProgramming . From what I can make out, Wiki evolved at roughly the same time as Extreme Programming, in a collaboration between Wiki:WardCunningham and Wiki:KentBeck .
