Customize Android XR Input settings
You can get around on your Android XR device in different ways. Learn how to choose an option, then use that option to move between apps and other items.
Choose Input settings
- On your Android XR device, open the Settings app.
- If you aren’t sure how to open the Settings app, learn how to navigate on your Android XR device.
- On the left, select Input.
- Under "Movement tracking:"
- To select an aiming method, select Aiming method:
- Allow both eye and hand aiming: Switch between your hands and eyes to aim. Use your hands to gesture.
- Use hand aiming only: Use only your hands to aim and gesture.
- To calibrate the device for eye aiming, select Eye calibration.
- To select a hand for gesture navigation, select Hand for gesture navigation .
- Select either Left hand or Right hand.
- To select an aiming method, select Aiming method:
Manage Devices
- On your Android XR device, open the Settings app.
- On the left, select Input.
- Under "Devices," you can select:
- Controllers: You can add controllers.
- Virtual keyboard: You can select a default keyboard and manage settings for Samsung Keyboard. You can turn Google Voice Typing and Gboard on or off.
- Physical keyboard: You can:
- Turn on Show on-screen keyboard.
- Manage Keyboard shortcuts.
- Change language shortcuts.
- Customize keys.
- Mouse: You can:
- Adjust the pointer and scrolling speed.
- Turn on Reverse scroll direction.
- Trackpad: You can:
- Adjust the pointer speed.
- Turn Tap to select on or off.
- Turn Reverse scroll direction on or off.
- Turn Tap bottom right corner for more options on or off.
