Get started: Voice setup guide for admins
Add Voice locations
Before you assign numbers to users or port numbers to Google Voice for Google Workspace, you need to set up your organization's location information. Voice needs the service address of your headquarters, or primary location, in each of the countries or regions where you use Voice for licensing and billing.
The first location you set up becomes your primary location in that country or region. In some regions, Google is required by law to provide your service address or other information when setting up Voice. This requirement is in addition to rules for billing and licensing. Your primary location must be a business location, and not a residential one. If your residence is a work location (for example, you work remote from home), you may be required to provide proof based on your region. Failure to do so can result in losing access to your Voice number.
