Configure time zone and scheduled reboot settings

To set up one device at a time, go to Manage Google Meet hardware.

You can configure your Google Meet hardware to restart on a predefined schedule. Devices can restart up to 30 minutes after the set time. Additionally, you should make sure the time zone is set correctly.

Set your time zone

  1. Sign in with an administrator account to the Google Admin console.

If you aren’t using an administrator account, you can’t access the Admin console.

  2. Go to Menu and then Devices > Google Meet hardware > Settings > Device settings.

Some features may require having the Manage Google Meet hardware and calendars privilege.

  3. In the Device settings section, click Time zone and select an option:
    • Use time zone configured during setup
    • Select the time zone for your devices
    • Use the device’s IP address to detect the time zone
    • Use the location of the network access points to detect the time zone

Note: When you use automatic time zone detection, the network configuration can impact the location detection. For example, this can occur if the device is connected behind a Virtual Private Network (VPN). The device might be physically located in a particular region, but the IP address could be associated with a completely different region.

  4. Click Save. Or, you might click Override for an organizational unit .
To later restore the inherited value, click Inherit.
