I’m trying to get an Olaqin SET-2 PC/SC card reader to work under WINE on a computer running Linux Mint 22.2.
I’m following that documentation, which seems sadly out-of-date: https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/soins2000.
It fails at stage 5.1 (manual connexion):
Even though the device is detected (it appears as USB 3-4 in dmesg) and works fine (using pcsc_scan from https://pcsc-tools.apdu.fr/) after installing the driver, I don’t know how to make it appear as a ~/.wine/dosdevices/comXX file (and then use it as COMXX within WINE).
In particular, I have no /dev/ttyACM0 nor /dev/ttyUSB that I can soft-link to ~/.wine/dosdevices/comXX, but I guess that was a thing of the past. FWIW, the user is already part of the dialout group.

@music2myear Yes, that’d be a best practice, but unfortunately, I don’t have the device handy, and won’t have for a while. This is why I’m trying to gather as much information as I can until I can get my hands on it again.breversa– breversa2025年12月01日 14:24:08 +00:00Commented Dec 1 at 14:24

WE need to know what you've done, not just you pointing to a website and saying "I did that". Surely you recall the steps you took and have at least some memory of the outcome of them?music2myear– music2myear2025年12月01日 14:39:46 +00:00Commented Dec 1 at 14:39
