I have a Raspi which Wifi connection is controlled by Network Manager.

The problem is that after a power loss the AP comes on-line later than the RasPi. This results in an initial failure of NM to bring up the Wifi interface. As it seems after the first failure it never tries again.

If the Pi is rebooted when the AP is active the connection comes up. I have not tried yet to restart NM once the AP is active, but I assume it also works. The Pi is in a remote location and I don't want to run tests unless I am at location.

Is there an option in NM to retry when the connection fails?

The obvious but non-elegant solution is to check for connection in a cron job and restart NM when there is no connection. I can do that. But I hope for a more elegant solution. Like an option to reconnect as soon as the AP becomes active.

The Raspi runs Debian Bullseye. network-manager version 1.30.6
