What's the keyboard shortcut in Firefox for web searching selected text?

I'm looking for the effect similar to the following mouse operations:

  1. Select some text
  2. Right-click
  3. Select "Search [Default search engine] for [selected text]..."

In current versions of Firefox, it takes two key-presses: ShiftF10, then S, to search on the highlighted text, using the default search engine.

  • ShiftF10 opens the context menu, as would a mouse right-click.
  • S selects Search <default search engine> for "<selected text>".

It might be possible to use a tool such as AutoHotkey to create a macro, reducing that combination to a single keypress, if two are too onerous.
