I code primarily in Scala, Python, Java and SQL (Postgres), with some Groovy.

I spend much of my time swimming in the vast waters of Big Data, increasingly in the GCP cloud: Cloud Dataproc (currently, in particular: Bigtable via the HBase API; Hive backed by GCS; and Oozie), Bigtable, GCS; as well as HBase, Spark, Kafka and Storm.

I use Airflow as my primary workflow engine (supplanting Oozie for all net-new development).

I work frequently with Postgres.

I enjoy learning about new technologies, languages and tools and how they can fit into my development ecosystem.

My primary dev environment is based on macOS using a combination of zsh, powerlevel10k, git, MacVim and IntelliJ, among other tools.
