Detox to test Bluetooth calls from Android device

I want to automate tests of Bluetooth calls from Android device (in a react native app).

I was thinking about using Detox for that.

Note that I do not want to test any UI, just the Bluetooth calls to my peripherals. Is it a good approach or is there a better way?
