R: DLLWRAP silent, nonterminating

I have had a similar problem:
in my case it was due o the fact that I was compiling the sources from a
different directory as it was expected by the makefile (I guess it is
/usr/src/pgsql); moreover, there is any library (*.a) in
/usr/local/pgsql/lib ?
