Dame Lesley Lawson DBE (born Lesley Hornby 19 September 1949, in London, England) is an English actress, fashion model and singer, known professionally as Twiggy.[1] Her childhood nickname Twiggy came from her thin legs.[2] In the 1960s, when she first became famous she weighed only 6.5 stone (91 lb).[2]
As an actress, she starred in The Boy Friend , and had featured roles in The Blues Brothers and Young Charlie Chaplin . She recently appeared as herself, on America's Next Top Model , as one of the judges.
