Pound-Force

The British engineering unit of force, commonly simply called the "pound." However, because of colloquial usage of the term "pound" as a unit of mass (i.e., pound-mass), the explicit use of the term "pound-force" (abbreviated lbf) is to be preferred. 1 lbf = 4.44822 newtons.
