Peck

A unit of volume in the U.S. system of dry measures and the British Imperial system equal to 8 quarts. However, the amounts corresponding to a quart are different in the two systems, as summarized in the following table. The peck is probably best known in modern times through the children's tongue-twisted "Peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers."
