Newton's Law for Fluids

The equation for the force per unit volume of a Newtonian fluid. It is given by

where p is the momentum of a fluid parcel, is the fluid density (assumed to be constant, i.e., the fluid is incompressible), is the substantive derivative, and u is the fluid velocity field.
