Hey all,

I started this message area with a specific purpose which is the development of free versions of applications that we can use to promote Run BASIC. The code placed here will belong in the public domain, with all that implies.

I plan to start some projects here myself, and I hope to get some of you involved in creating some cool and useful apps.

Thanks,

-Carl Gundel

What is the license for the sample projects that come with the Personal Server? Are those pubic domain? Open source?

For legal reasons, since these are shipped with Run BASIC I should probably consider them to be copyrighted, but I will adopt an attitude of permissiveness. Anyone can feel free to use any of the *.bas files that come with Run BASIC as a starting point for their own projects without being concerned about code ownership.

I think I'm going to need to develop a more formal statement about this.

Where are the programs and documentation to be sent?

Will there be a place to download the submitted systems?

Hi, Dan. I'm not sure what Carl had in mind when he created this board. You can post code here on the board, of course. If you feel your code is too large, you can always start a page for your project on the RB wiki. A wiki site is meant to contain whatever the members want to put there. ;)

Here's a link to the "Projects" page on the wiki:

runbasic.wikispaces.com/Projects

Edit the page and list your project as a link. After you save the page editing, click on the link and you'll be taken to a new wiki page. Edit it and place your project code there. If there are auxiliary files, they can be uploaded to the wiki and linked from your page.

If you aren't a member, join wikispaces, then apply for membership at the RB wiki. Jerry, the founder, or one of the other organizers will approve your membership request quickly and you're good to go.

Thanks Alyce..

Looks great!
I'll check it out.
I've been looking for a place to post a couple projects.
The projects I have in mind are indeed way to large to simply post.
The ERP/shopping cart system I'm working on is over 100 programs and documentation is large.

Thanks for the help.
Dan
