Is there a Run Basic equivalent to Liberty Basic's loc(#filenum) command for binary file operations ?

No. You might be able to use the random access file functions (http://runbasic.wikispaces.com/Random) depending on what you are trying to achieve.

I don't think that will work - I need to make single byte changes in a file.
Unless ... I can set the record as a single field containing a single byte.
Is that what you mean ?
