Flamethrower (かえんほうしゃ, Flamethrower^? ) is a fire-type move introduced in the first generation. The Pokémon breathes a stream of fire at its opponent, scorching them with a 10% chance of causing the Burn status effect. Due to its typing, it is usually learned by fire-type Pokémon, however some non-fire-types based on dragons can learn this move via level up, such as Bagon, Shelgon and Salamence, Roaring Moon, Eternatus, Koraidon and Walking Wake as well as the skunk Pokémon Skuntank. The move has also been available as a TM since Generation III letting certain compatible Pokémon be taught the move that otherwise wouldn't learn it.
