A source is the origin of any public web content. It can be a set of news search keywords, a standard feed (RSS or Atom), or a webpage (custom feed made via Feed Builder or API). Each plan offers different number of sources. We also offer customized plans with higher number of sources, and/or other selected features depending on your needs.
Custom sources are unstructured web content, like public webpages and news search (by keywords). Custom sources are included in our feed builder product (webpages only) and newsroom product (webpages and news search). Feed builder generates structured data (JSON and XML/RSS) for a webpage custom source.
Standard sources are structured content, like pre-generated RSS/Atom feeds and web mentions. Standard sources are included in our newsroom product.
Each plan is based on a recurring subscription, charged monthly or yearly. An yearly subscription includes a discount for its longer commitment. Enterprise and customized plans are only available on a monthly subscription.
A subscription is charged automatically at the beginning of a billing cycle (monthly or yearly), and renewed at the end of the cycle, unless cancelled at any time in between. Accounts are automatically cancelled if a subscription's due renewal charge fails consecutively over a period of ten days.
No, we don't require a credit card for a trial, so you won't be charged when the free trial ends. You can signup or upgrade to a full plan before, during or after the trial, at which time you'll be charged. If you choose to let the trial expire, then your account will be deactivated, and it can be reactivated by signing-up for a full plan later.
We accept credit/debit card payments. You can pay with Mastercard, Visa and American Express cards. Card information is handled over secure connections (HTTPS). Payment card information is securely stored by our payment processor, Stripe. Payment card information is removed when an account is cancelled. You can also change the payment card from your account at any time.
Charge will appear for "New Sloth" on your card statement. We send out a payment receipt email on each charge, and a corresponding tax invoice (PDF) is available for your records from your account.
For US business customers, we can provide IRS Form W-8 BEN-E on request. For Australian customers, our pricing includes a 10% sales tax (GST).
Yes, you can request account cancellation at any time, by sending us a message through the contact form. Please read our refund policy below. Accounts are automatically cancelled if a subscription's due renewal charge fails consecutively over a period of ten days.
If you've purchased a plan and wish to upgrade to a higher plan at any time, then we'll apply a prorate price so that the unused remaining balance of your initial purchase price is adjusted in the upgrade amount. The signup/upgrade confirmation page from your account will show the calculated prorate amount due.
We can offer a refund within 14 days from the date of first charge, unless upgrading from one paid plan to another. Eligible refund net amount will exclude the merchant fee (3-4% non-refundable) as charged by card network. Please request account cancellation by sending us a message through the contact form within the applicable period.
