You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Purpose
[edit ]Many users state that when they get a message, they will respond on your talk page instead of on their own. This makes reading back a conversation quite cumbersome; having to switch talk pages back and forth in order to make sense of the conversation. To this end, you can use this template to notify a user that you have responded to his/her message on your own talk page.
Usage
[edit ]{{Talkback|your username}} {{Talkback|your username|section}}
To have the links point to a non-user talk page, you must include the full talk page link.
{{Talkback|Talk:page name|section}} {{Talkback|Wikipedia talk:page name|section}}
To include a timestamp, add ts=~~~~~
(five tildes).
{{Talkback|Talk:page name|section|ts=~~~~~}} {{Talkback|your username|section|ts=~~~~~}}
For user talk pages, you can also use the {{mytalk}} template that will automatically add your username:
{{subst:mytalk}} {{subst:mytalk|section}} {{subst:mytalk|section|ts=~~~~~}}
Place the code on the talk page of the user you have answered to. The recipient may remove this template from his/her talk page at any time. A link to edit the first section of the talk page is shown within the template. The section
parameter is optional; when you enter the name of the section on your talk page, it will directly link to that section.

Notes
[edit ]- You can optionally substitute this template, though it is not recommended.
- If you are going to use this template, please consider putting the
{{Usertalkback}}
notice on your own talk page:
- If I left you a message: please answer on your talk page, then place
{{Talkback|your username}}
on my talk. - If you leave me a message: I will answer on my talk page, then place
{{Talkback|Talkback}}
on your talk. - Please click here to leave me a new message.
You can do so by copying the following code at the very top of your talk page:
{{Usertalkback}}
- Other versions are possible, such as an asymmetrical one not requiring your interlocutors to use Talkback, provided that you watch their talk page for answers:
- If I left you a message: please answer on your talk page, as I am watching it.
- If you leave me a message: I will answer on my talk page, then place
{{Talkback|Talkback}}
on your talk. - Please click here to leave me a new message.
You can do so by copying the following code at the very top of your talk page:
{{Usertalkback|you=watched}}
- Another way, now less standard, was to use a notice:
You can do so by copying the following code:
{{Notice|'''If you leave me a message, I will respond ''here'' and will let you know on your talk page using the {{tl|Talkback}} template.'''}}
