Reason | This seems just for a supplement for Wikimedia Commons for files already there. ~~EBE123~~ talk Contribs 00:09, 7 May 2012 (UTC) [reply ] |
Allrightsreserved is a new website proposed for the purpose of hosting contents currentlty tagged with commons:Template:Copyright by Wikimedia, commons:Template:Copyright by Wikimedia Deutschland and commons:Template:Copyright by Wikimedia Polska and hosted at Wikimedia Commons.
Unlike Flickr or Picasaweb, Wikimedia Commons should be and remain a 100% Free media repository.
The creation of that new website will enable to remove the sentence (the only non-free-licensed exceptions hosted here are Wikimedia logos and other designs which are copyrighted by the Wikimedia Foundation) from commons:commons:Licencing#Acceptable licenses and have Wikimedia Commons be true to its duty to have no Exemption Policy (see the with the exception of Wikimedia Commons wording in foundation:Resolution:Licensing policy.

[edit ]- It would both make it easier to find wikimedia logos and make commons policys more consistent. MorganKevinJ (talk) 04:44, 1 February 2011 (UTC) [reply ]
- Interesting it would need to be expanded to enable the hosting of Fair Use images and logo's, no need for "project" for images that can be handled internally by the foundation office staff Gnangarra 06:13, 1 February 2011 (UTC) [reply ]
- Interesting: Commons should be entirely free! already rejected;( --Ricordi samoa 07:28, 11 February 2013 (UTC) [reply ]
