[edit ]I just notice that "Y! Messenger Plus" plugin include shortcut and search-tools to Wikipedia (french and english) since 1 year... And available in english since 6 month. YMP project is not official, and created by Yahoo's users.
We want to include more search-features to wikimedia-projects (WikiNews, WikiBooks, etc).
You can mail me about YMP at oliekat-ymp@yahoo.fr (I'm french ;o)

Organizations that have offered free hosting or bandwidth.
BE
[edit ]The Belgian government wants to do something about the availability of Wikipedia. They have asked Belnet to facilitate us. Belnet is willing to do this.
Quoting http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Translation_requests/WQ/3/En/3:
- Belnet offers 22U of space.
- Availability is June 2005 but more time needed to be technically ready.
- The hardware must be paid for.

[edit ]More equipment, hosting and bandwidth offers for squid cache clusters are most welcome; please see the Volunteer Squid Sites page for requirements.
The referenced volunteer squid site is down. I work for an ISP based in East Africa and we would be willing to host a couple of servers and provide bandwidth are this offers still accepted. Please let me know. e-mail: kendirangu at wananchi.net

[edit ]- Trillian - An IM/IRC client which uses a static Wikipedia dump to seed its auto-linked definitions of terms entered as you chat. A surprise; no contact with active Wikipedians before or after Trillian 3 was released with this feature.
- amazon.com's A9 search engine features the English-language Wikipedia as one of the default column choices.
