Long-term abuse. Cross-wiki abuse. Uses multiple ip accounts to vandalize the same pages on wikidata and english wiki. Abo Yemen (talk) 05:24, 23 December 2024 (UTC) Reply

I rarely edit a page. When I want to edit my user page, there is messages that say I can't edit any page because my IP address has been blocked on all wikis. My IP block is expired at 11 January 2025 but I want to join Kompetisi Wikisource Indonesia 2025 that begin at 5 January 2025 and end at 19 January 2025, so I need my IP to get unblock. TIA. --Abdansykr26 (talk) 12:53, 5 January 2025 (UTC) Reply

Hi, Can you please delete this account from He Wiki, with an account name that violates the rules (it is offending)? I asked our admins but they said they cannot and recommended asking your help. Thanks, Pixie.ca (talk) 05:23, 12 January 2025 (UTC) Pixie.ca (talk) 05:23, 12 January 2025 (UTC) Reply

Done your request has been enqueued. Your project can certainly block the user if they wish as well. — xaosflux Talk 11:38, 13 January 2025 (UTC) Reply

Global block/unblock for Drbogdan for using non-English Wikipedias for WP:NOTWEBHOST ban evasion

[edit ]
Status: In progress

Drbogdan was CBANned in July of 2024 for promotional editing and using Wikipedia as a web host. The blanking of his userpage on English Wikipedia resulted in a sudden burst of activity on other language Wikipedias to update and maintain the links to his social media profiles and content deleted (which he was told is inappropriate for Wikipedia). Following his CBAN, his userpage was blanked to avoid him using it as a "profile", which resulting in him using historical diffs (he posts his own social media profiles in replies, so it's fairly easy to see how he's using it) to get around it being blanked. He was active in maintaining content on his "profile" to make sure the links were up to date with whatever social media he was using. Since his ban and blanking of his main userpage, he has suddenly gotten active in maintaining his "profile" at multiple wikiprojects where he's never edited:

Luxembourgish wikipedia (note this one may have been deleted by an admin there before it's seen here. It appears he doesn't speak Luxembourgish. Suddenly active on his meta.wikimedia.org profile despite no other edits here. Given the state of his recent unban request and continued insistence on treating wikipedia as a webhost, as well as his maintaining of profiles across wikiprojects he'll never be able to contribute to in a way that recreates deleted material on the wikipedia he's banned on, I think a global block (and perhaps global blanking of his userpage history so he can't use diffs as a "profile") may be in order. --Warrenmck (talk) 11:38, 13 January 2025 (UTC) Reply

This pattern can be observed at the following Wikipedias and related projects, where the only content edited sometimes going back the better part of a decade is to maintain his user "profile":

Not done (going to leave this on this page so you can reply if needed). What you are looking for is a global ban. See that page for information on how such may be proposed. Of the 26 projects you mentioned above, 18 are medium to large projects with active local administrators. If those projects don't like this behavior, they may delete, block, etc according to their local policies. — xaosflux Talk 14:48, 13 January 2025 (UTC) Reply
Sure thing, sorry about that, don’t venture to the meta project too often. My understanding had been that evidence of abuse across multiple projects warranted a more high level discussion. Warrenmck (talk) 15:31, 13 January 2025 (UTC) Reply
