Hi MBisanz,
why toggles the changed name Mohajeer between Dilşo Kardî and Mohajeer because see here. Thanks in advance--George Animal (talk) 10:40, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
The user was still logged in on another project with the old account name when they entered ku.wikt. The result was the old account was recreated. You can see this in the log QuiteUnusual (talk) 12:42, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the information. I'll inform the user about this. Thanks--George Animal (talk) 12:45, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Comment Comment: "Mateusz.ns" already exists on plwikivoyage (with 2 edits). Do you wish that we rename that account and then rename your old one? Trijnstel talk 17:46, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Yes :) Mateuszek045 (talk) 21:00, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
Done, don't forget to merge your account via voy:pl:Special:MergeAccount. Trijnstel talk 17:38, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Still waiting on this request ... no response from Wikiversity ... nobody's home watching the shop. Djdubay (talk) 20:19, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Done, please merge your account on enwikiversity via wikiversity:en:Special:MergeAccount. And a bit more patience would've been nice. Trijnstel talk 17:20, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Thank you. Your comment on patience, however irks me to no end. Three weeks? Five weeks total for a one week process? Just how much patience do you expect? I believe it's my lack of further patience after being extremely patient that finally got action. Clearly, another poor user who's been patient for over three months and whose request still has been ignored demonstrates what patience gets you. Again, I thank you for finally processing my request. But your comment on "patience" has not won you any friends.

Djdubay (talk) 19:00, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Your words imply that you are under the misapprehension that there is some kind of level of customer service to which you are entitled. When you are asking volunteers to help rudeness won't win you any friends. QuiteUnusual (talk) 23:07, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Letartean@fr.wikinews

Status: Locally handled

Hello, as a local bureaucrat on fr.wikinews, I was asked by a third party to do a rename of an account so it would be free for this third party to unify all his accounts. Is this possible? Should I answer to wait because that is to be done by the unification procedure that will take place in the future? Is there a page explaining the process if it is possible? Thanks in advance for your help. Have a nice day, Letartean (talk) 15:28, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

It seems to be about Special:CentralAuth/Thingol. As you can see on the special page, the user has a global account already. SUL finalisation will (at an uncertain date in the future) rename away the non-attached accounts so that the owner of the global account can register on these wikis as well. Meanwhile, you can already, as a local bureaucrat, rename the Thingol@frwikinews account (who made one edit in 2005) manually, if your local policies don't forbid it (most probably they don't forbid it). --MF-W 18:22, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Ok, thank you very much for your answer. I don't beleive a policy exists on the matter on fr.wikinews. Will check with the local community. Meanwhile, is it mandatory to contact the user who will be renamed to make room for Thingol before going along with the renaming? Sincerely, Letartean (talk) 20:13, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
No, this is entirely up to you / the local community. Personally I wouldn't notify a user who was last active 8 years ago. By the way, you can read about the way other projects handle this on Rename practices. --MF-W 20:16, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
