En.wikipedia has local bureaucrats, so you need to make a local request on this page. Jafeluv 07:15, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Request for the stewards
  • Please rename me on all projects w/o bureaucrats with an edit count equal or over 10 edits. The automated list is here (bureaucrat inactivity set to 3 months, you may want to perform them as well).

Thank you very much and sorry for the trouble. I'd hoped a global rename tool existed. It's requested on bugzilla but it's not deemed very important despite SUL and other things. Very best, -- Dferg 13:54, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Done for all wikis without local crats, also done for astwiki and afwiki. The other ones have crats who were somewhere else active. Kind regards, —DerHexer (Talk) 14:03, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
Can I be renamed on es.wikisource too? - The local bureaucrat has put this notice stating that she'll be inactive for quite some time now. Despite having edited recently, she vanishes for large periods of time and I can't wait that long. She's the only bureaucrat on es.wikisource. There are unnatended requests since February 2010. Best regards, -- Dferg 09:50, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
It appears that I moved you meta account instead, sorry for that. Ruslik 13:15, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Moved also on es.wikisource. Ruslik 13:18, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. Best, MarcoAurelio 14:17, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Please be more careful in future. This is very bad when you rename people on the wrong project! Such kinds of errors should clearly not happen. -Barras 13:19, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

There is no confirmation from Pesare amol. Ruslik 19:23, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Pesare amol was just renamed to Mehdi here on Meta. [7] It's a SUL account, which I think should be a sufficient confirmation. Jafeluv 20:05, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Pardon Me! What's the problem? It's a SUL request[8].--Mehdi Talk 21:27, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
I have at least one edit per wiki now. Please chek My request again. --Mehdi Talk 10:03, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
I did not ask you to make those edits. I only said that it did not make sense to rename accounts with zero edits. Ruslik 18:57, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
The point was that if you have no edits on a project, you can just register the new username yourself without the need to rename the account. Jafeluv 19:33, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Is there a place where full instructions are provided as to how to fully unify an SUL account? I'm seeing a lot of users make requests that are malformed or that don't understand the process. Above, Mehdi, in spite of being an administrator with very substantial contributions on hiwiki, doesn't seem to know that SUL accounts will be automatically created and attached, if there is no conflicting account, from the Preferences tab/Manage your global account, from any SUL log-in. If accounts exist, then one must provide a password, and if those accounts are someone else, or the password is lost, then usurpation is required, a more complex process requiring a steward or local 'crat. With usurpation only, it's best if there is an account with edits, as Mehdi created. But right now, Medhi can, at least where I looked, create the required accounts immediately, himself. We should have a page to explain all this, including how to request usurpation, both here and on wikis with 'crats. If it exists, where is it? --Abd 19:47, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
There's Help:Unified login on Meta, and some individual projects have their own local help pages. Jafeluv 19:54, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
As regards "no edits": perhaps the user wishes to retain the original account creation date; despite having not used it thus far to edit. –xeno 19:59, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Fwiw it seems this was a misunderstanding, the purpose was to usurp the Mehdi accounts on those wikis. This has now been done here. Jafeluv 22:19, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

All of the projects on which you have edits have local bureaucrats. Please use the index of pages where renaming can be requested for making a local request to project bureaucrats. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 12:25, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Requesting a rename to each and every project will be a tedious job for me; and in the process, I will have two names across wiki-sites (and not sure what happens to my unified login status). Isn't there any way to change the unified login to a different username in one go? Or, should I need to file the request for meta.wikimedia.org (if that'd do)? Thanks, Deblopper 07:28, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, the only way to change your username globally is to make local requests in all the projects which have local crats. (More info on your enwiki talk page.) Jafeluv 12:27, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

Are the exiting SUL at SS as well as all unattached accounts belong to you? Ruslik 07:02, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
Comment Comment I would advise you to propose an other username (unless you really want this one, of course), because this one will probably be blocked on many projects with the reason "abusive username" (it has already been on 3), as SS refers to w:Schutzstaffel. Cordially, -- Quentinv57 (talk) 09:38, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
Comment Comment As the SUL username is already taken by fi:User:SS, I don't think we can perform this. It would be better to come up with a unique username, especially in case you want to be renamed in all wikis. Jafeluv 09:41, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Warning: A username cannot begin with a lower-case letter: seamerisSeameris
Hello. I don't really understand your request... Do you want to be renamed on Wikimedia Commons ? If it's the case, please request the renaming here. But I can't promise you it will be accepted, as the account Simeris@commons has no contributions and the account Seameris@commons already exists. If those two accounts belong to you, I would just advise to use the new one (which as already 5 contributions) and to forget the firstly created account.
This is the same for all your other accounts. If you want to be renamed at enwiki or at metawiki (which is not really necessary for one contrib, it would be easier to create a new account directly with the name you want), it can be requested here for enwiki and here for meta. If you need any more precisions, feel free to ask. Best regards, -- Quentinv57 (talk) 19:00, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
