Communication Projects Group
The Communication Projects Group was set up in March 2007 to assist the Foundation's press department and the Communications Committee in their work. This announcement best describes its purpose.
An alternative introduction:
The group currently has an open mailing list, meaning anyone can join. However, we remind individuals that the mailing list should only be used to post announcements and/or find help for their particular project. For example, if your project has recently decided to embark on a public relations campaign, and you need help, this would be the ideal place to recruit individuals, or simply inform others of your work.
Once a week, the group hosts a meeting on IRC. This serves as a time where members can socialize, brainstorm, or come up with their own projects.
"The group has an IRC channel on freenode: #wikimedia-cpg We hold a meeting every Wednesday at 2030 UTC.
Our mailing list can be joined at this page.
