Dear members of the Language Committee (Langcom), I am delighted to inform you about the active and thriving Sylheti language projects (Sylheti Wiktionary, Sylheti Wikiquote, Sylheti Wiktibooks, Sylheti Wikinews, Sylheti Wikivoyage) that have been consistently active for over 5 months on the Wikimedia Incubator. We are proud to announce that we have not only met but exceeded the requirements set by the Wikimedia Incubator. In particular, I would like to draw your attention to the enduring presence of Sylheti Wikipedia, which has been incubating for over 9 years. This longstanding commitment is a testament to our community's (https://w.wiki/7jVv) dedication and passion for preserving the Sylheti language and culture. You can find more details about our journey here. It's essential to recognize that the approval of language projects has a significant impact. While some projects have been approved without meeting the same level of dedication and effort, we believe that the approval of Sylheti projects will serve as an inspiration to other Wikimedia Incubator communities. Support Support - Witnessing the continuous efforts of Sylheti contributors is definitely a significant support to the project. As a Sylheti myself, it would be truly wonderful to see information/knowledge available and accessible in the Sylheti language in this digital age. Follow up - Hi, just to inform you that, a dedicated language community who value these projects are still actively contributing. Our projects featured in the Wikimedia Incubator for months. We think language committee have enough resources to assess our projects timely and do not get distracted by any anonymous emails whether good faith or intentional which can dirupt our projects and demotivate our contributors. In the last 3 months, Wikipedia Komering seems to have changed 180° compared to previous months and even years. As one of the contributors, I submit this Wikipedia Komering for approval. Es Krim 5 juta Rasa submitted a new language request on November 14, 2023, and it has not been verified. I hope this project runs smoothly without any obstacles. Hi. Thanks for your contribution. Yes, as you mentioned, your project has had some very dramatic changes. It's the result of you and your community. However, this started in November, and unless there are other special circumstances, multiple contributors must demonstrate consistent activity for at least 3 months. This means that at least 3 months of activity must be confirmed; 3 months is only a minimum standard and not an absolute standard. Therefore, I hope that you will continue to make consistent efforts and interest for approval, and I believe that the approval will proceed smoothly as a result. --Sotiale (talk) 07:32, 29 December 2023 (UTC) Reply

Hi. Thank you for your efforts on the project. After review, I found that your project has been active for 3 months, but this only meets the minimum standards and needs improvement. As a result of random sampling, many short pages are found; incubator:Wp/bol/Hospital, incubator:Wp/bol/Bulah, incubator:Wp/bol/Tailor, incubator:Wp/bol/Jakaɗe, etc. These random sampling results from a total of 447 pages, including categories and templates, show that improvement is needed, even though content quality is not considered for approval normally. I believe that by improving these short pages, the editors' activities will be sufficiently sustained and the sustainability of the community will be further solidified. Hello Language Committee, it has come to my attention that the West Coast Bajau Wikipedia has not been verified as eligible even though the request has been done since 2020. The community plans to graduate from the Incubator by May 2024 so they hope the verification process can be sped up. I am currently aiding in making the project more active as part of the initiative by Wikimedia Community User Group Malaysia. I hope anyone (maybe @Janwo, @Sotiale, or @Satdeep Gill) can verify the project as soon as possible before I make a further request for full approval in a couple of months. Hello. If you want approval, don't worry. If there is sufficient community contribution and sustainability, eligibility is not a major issue unless it is an issue with the language itself; therefore, not being marked eligible does not prevent approval, unless you have concerns that the language may not be eligible or believe a separate determination is needed. --Sotiale (talk) 15:24, 3 January 2024 (UTC) Reply

This seems like you are taking us back to the old issues, after they are being resolved. And is agreed by the parties for splitting and all the works are being moved to the central Kanuri I think we have passed that eligibility matter,is just for us to get approval and carry on with activities. Dear Language Committee members.
I'm a local administrator of Karakalpak Wikipedia project (since December 2022).
Karakalpak Wikipedia community submitted a request here to create Karakalpak Wiktionary in October 2022. And from the middle of 2023 we started to work hard on Karakalpak Wiktionary beta version (in incubator) based on Karakalpak Language Explanatory Dictionary. So now there are more than 3000 words with explanations. And during last months there are about 5-10 permanent editors are working on it. So maybe it's time to open full version of the project? It will encourage us to accelerate our working activities on the project. Because we would like to use all functions of full project. For example, to select separate (from Karakalpak Wikipedia) administrator and moderators for Wiktionary project. Please support us with this issue. See Language committee/Handbook (requesters) for instructions. However, Neo-Mandaic says the spoken modern language only has a few hundred native speakers left, and Mandaic wikipage mentions 5,000. That makes a successful project unlikely.--Prosfilaes (talk) 20:27, 22 January 2024 (UTC) Reply
