In some situations, it is necessary for accounts to be exempted from the customary confirmation period. The 'confirmed' group contains the same rights as the 'autoconfirmed' group, but (on some wikis) can be granted by administrators or bureaucrats as necessary. Stewards and system administrators are capable of granting it on any wiki. See the list of confirmed users on this wiki.
