Add VisualEditor or a similar tool to the mobile app
- Problem: Source editing on mobile is very awkward, especially things like tweaking markup with large fingers.
- Proposed solution: Add a visual editor to help with this, possibly similar to mobile apps for document editors.
- Who would benefit: As many readers – especially those less likely to be familiar with wikitext – read using the mobile app, a more accessible editing tool on the platform would help more casual readers turn into editors, which would help the project.

Discussion
- I think this is a good idea, but I also think that it should be an opt-in option toggled in the settings rather than accessible by default to minimize vandalism. DJ Cane (talk) 08:45, 24 January 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
- The mobile web already has a visual editor, so adding this to the mobile app should be workable. I think the features should be minimal, much like the visual editor in the mobile web. Hanif Al Husaini (talk) 11:58, 24 January 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
- I think we should add VE for mobile app - many people are using mobile app for Wikipedia editing. Thingofme (talk) 12:10, 29 January 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
- We may have which combines features of main Wikipedia and commons Wikimedia, works for both android and IOS, also even if user tries to access Wikipedia on mobile browser it should automatically redirects to mobile version for VisualEditor mode.--Work2win (talk) 13:34, 29 January 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
- I agree this might sound like a tantalizingly simple task, but it's vastly more complex under the hood, and would require significant architectural changes in the way the apps work, as well as the backend service layer. Therefore moving this to Larger Suggestions. DBrant (WMF) (talk) 16:50, 31 January 2023 (UTC) [reply ]

- Support Support This will increase engagement from mobile users. Editing from mobile (even with an app) is atrocious right now. SunDawn (talk) 12:40, 11 February 2023 (UTC) [reply ]

- Support Support This feature should be implemented as it is a core feature missing for many people. NPRB (talk) 21:13, 13 February 2023 (UTC) [reply ]
