Item type and publisher
Hi @Jurbop! Thanks again for contributing a test to Web2Cit. I have a question regarding the expected item type you have indicated for path /info/culture/spectacles/12819767-cinq-hommes-du-bon-theatre-en-chantier.html
. Although I understand the website belongs to a broadcaster, the cited source is not (as I see it) a TV broadcast, but an article. Maybe a newspaperArticle or a magazineArticle? What do you think?
On the other hand, the "published by" field should be the institution publishing the cited source. Usually this is not used by Wikipedia together with the "published in" field, but in any case, shouldn't it be "RTS" instead of "Ads"? Or "SRG SSR"? What do you think about this? - Hi @Diegodlh,
- You are right for the rts article. The author's article seems to be a journalist at RTS.ch (example).
- I realize that I did the same error into other broadcast articles. Sorry about that!
- I have no clue about what means "Ads" after the author article name at rts.ch! I thought it was a news agency!
- FYI, in fr-wiki, we have to specify when the linked source is an article of a press agency (like Agence-France-Press (AFP) in France, Reuters,...etc). It is often the case that national newspapers websites publish articles done by their journalists (which is fine) and also articles from press agencies.
- And press agencies articles are usually of less quality than articles written by journalists.
- I have just asked Escargot rouge on its talk page if he/she can also add "with Afp" when it is the case. (@Escargot rouge)
- I hope it can be done

- Thank you for your reply, @Jurbop. Sorry it took me some time to answer, as I'm currently away from home.
- I've replied about the news agency name on Escargot rouge's talk page.
- On the other hand, could you check the item type? Shall it be changed to "newspaperArticle" instead?
- Cheers! Diegodlh (talk) 14:36, 22 November 2022 (UTC) Reply
- Hi Diego, ""newspaperArticle" instead?" => yes newspaperArticle is ok for me (as we have a signed article by an author). ;) Cheers Jurbop (talk) 14:59, 22 November 2022 (UTC) Reply
