Searching within deletion log and displaying creator of deleted content

  • Problem: excepted with the exact target (title or username) as far I now it is not possible to search within the deletion log
  • Who would benefit: every one
  • Proposed solution:
to developp Special:Log in order to have the possibility to show all the deleted content using key words
or to developp the current search engine CirrusSearch with a new filter function "search in: deletion log"
  • More comments: One precise exemple: this simple search [1] with two words (now not displaying anymore any results) allowed me to find several dozen of files within Wikimedia Commons, to delete those files, and to blocks the uploaders (sock puppets). With that querry made by a colleague, showing all the deleted files that contains "Kris_Kourtis" in the titles, showing the deleted administrators, and showing the uploaders, I have been able to find 6 or 7 additional sock puppets and to find additional content to delete. If such a functionality already exist for the Wikimedia projects I would be happy to know it, otherwise I think it should a good thing to have it without to have to go outside the Wikimedia projects to make requests which requires having accounts in the places where it is necessary, ect...
