Connections made
[edit ]- I was able to know and obtain contacts of some experienced Wikimedians and WikiIndaba organzers or facililators such as Geoffrey Kateregga, Deoglas Ssebagala, Winnie Kabintie, Derrick Ndahiro, Erina Mukuta and Alice Kibombo-Ekanya to mention a few.
Learning points
[edit ]- Nothing is impossible under collaboration. Just as Wiki Indaba 2021 was made possible by Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda even other Wikimedia communities can successfully make it on the next move.
Outcome
[edit ]- Increasing contribution to Wikimedia projects and welcoming or training new Wikimedians. For instance, on 20 November 2021 i collaborated with UniStu Love Wiki User Group based in Morogoro, Tanzania on its event USLW Olympics as a facilitator (experienced Wikipedian) leading participants in increasing contents on Swahili Wikipedia through translating articles on Olympics games from English Wikipedia to Swahili Wikipedia, just to mention a few.
