Round 2 Re-submission of Arc.heolo.gy proposal
Hi there Ruslik,
I have decided to reapply for the Round 2 of the 2016 Project Grant applications.
I selected to create a new proposal, and it seemed to simply overlay the new information on the old application page, therefore leaving my updates and revisions on the Round 2 version attached to the "Past Proposals" link to the application.
Do you know how I would get this updated version bumped into the "Current Proposal" sections?

Blocked IP
Hi,
You have blocked an IP address range including mine from editing. This is not due to my edits, so must be from due to user on the same ISP. Is it Wikipedia policy to block the IP range for an entire ISP because one of its users broke the rules?
Me too! I’ve also been blocked from editing a page.
Same Problem. My IP is 46.125.250.22 and i got the same message. Never edited a wikipedia page before but had the same IP adress problem with PlayStation network before.

This block began on 20:40, 28 October 2018 - I don't understand why I am blocked, the phrase "long-term abuse" can never be dedicated to me.
By the way: my own IP-address is 213.162.73.13.

Hello,
I have just logged into my account after moving to Israel and have discovered my entire IP range has been blocked. This seems somewhat excessive?

I am user en:User:Boiagiallo-edits: I made several edits in en.wiki and it.wiki, but unlogged IP 2.239.136.182-it.wiki, during April 2013 for to improve and to start several articles regarding Italian food and related articles. I used a computer in a public location en:User talk:2.239.136.182: obvious that computer, and related IP, was in charing use with other users, but an Italian admin globally locked my account [Boiagiallo], wich is used by me alone. I leave a post in Italian discussion of admin, but he ignored me. Admin was looking for other editors, who edit in articles regarding history and sports, but those users are not my friends and I don't know them! If you global unlock [Boiagiallo], I can continue to improve many articles in many languages: articles regarding Italian food and related articles! I made request here. Now I can not log in: my actual and dinamic IP is 151.42.194.47

Apology
Everyone... Let me talk...
It all started in 2014/2015 (I think) when I created a Wikipedia account. I was exaggerating the sizes of UY Scuti at the time. I now know that UY Scuti is only 1,708 ± 192 solar radii.
I came back in June 2017. I wanted to help make useful contributions to the encyclopedia. Everything turned out well for the first 2-3 months. However, things changed. Some users started to argue against me, especially when it came to star sizes.
Then, when I tried to introduce more information, the other users didn't like it and started to want to get me blocked. They succeeded. Why would they pick on me? Yes, why me? Why are they always saying that everyone else is right (not in the case of wikipedia:WP:TRUTH, but in encyclopedic contribution terms) and I am wrong?
But things took a turn for the worse. My archnemesis, Sasha Primerov, started insulting me on wikipedia:es.wikipedia.org . He got both of us blocked indefinitely as a result. My niece, friend, and archnemesis made their own Wikipedia accounts on my computer without my consent. My niece was making disruptive edits to wikipedia:List of largest stars, my friend was editing in bible verses even though it is vandalism, and my archnemesis was making personal attacks. All of our accounts got involved in a sockpuppet investigation and all of them were banned, and my account was globally locked. All of this is the truth.
Everyone...
Please, in 4 months, let me come back. Please unlock my account and inform an administrator to unblock me. Not now, but in 4 to 5 months, to complete the wikipedia:Wikipedia:Standard offer.
My only intention was to help build an encyclopedia. I really don't want to be globally locked. After all, Wikipedia is «the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit.»
I don't hate the people who think that I am wrong and that I should be blocked. I actually like all of you, guys. Just please let me contribute to the encyclopedia.
Please, I promise to never let anyone make a Wikipedia account on my computer again. I also promise that I will avoid the behavior that got me blocked at all times and make useful contributions.
Please, give me a second chance. I am just a teenager living in wikipedia:Russia, and I want to make Wikipedia more reliable than it is today.
I am very sorry for the incidents and thank you very much, in advance.

Reason for IP blocking?
Hello, Ruslik,
I've been informed, that my IP address (46.211.99.7 from the blocked range 46.211.0.0/16) is currently blocked by you since 20.07.18. May you detalize, what is meant by "Long-term abuse" in my case? Is this a problem of my mobile internet operator - and if so, may it be resolved in some more sophisticated way?

@Ruslik0 and RadiX: Hello. Can you please Globally Lock all of these accounts? They are probably sleeper accounts of ROXELANA22 (it seems that this LTA's original username was "AUC COLOMBIA"). Each account is behaviorally identical to his first account (AUC COLOMBIA), and each account was created within rapid succession on es.wikipedia, this LTA's home wiki. Almost all of these sleepers are already locally indeffed. (This page demonstrates that the only unblocked sock, AUC COLOMBIA 2009, is still a part of this sockfarm.) Every single one of his socks/sleepers needs to be Globally Locked, because as demonstrated numerous times in the past (e.g. ZiguratEnki, AUC COLOMBIA), this nut still remembers his password(s) for all of his accounts, no matter how old they are, and also because sock accounts that are locally blocked but not Globally Locked can be "regenerated" on another Wikipedia Project (this LTA has been doing this with each of his socks since 2017). This basically means that all of his socks need to be Globally Locked in order to effectively curb his abuse. Thank you. LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 03:59, 9 February 2019 (UTC) Reply

Hello. Can you please consider an "anon-only" Global/Local Rangeblock of the range listed above? The person responsible is a cross-wiki vandal who appears to be imitating the vandalism of IPhonehurricane95, and possibly also Lighting Sabre (also known as the "UAK vandal"), given the persistent use of 9/11 imagery vandalism and references to "UnderArmourKid" in his edit summaries. This person has been vandalizing via multiple IPs in the range since December 2018, and so far, he has vandalized on en.wiki, sv.wiki, Commons, and Meta wiki (other sites may be affected as well). At least 3 of his IPs have already been subjected to Global Blocks, but they seem to be doing nothing to curb his abuse. Can you please implement a 3-6 month Global and Local rangeblock? The vandalism and personal attacks from this vandal are quite severe and involve graphic (and even indecent) images. Thank you. LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 01:40, 17 February 2019 (UTC) Reply

Dear Ruslik0,
Please take all of LightandDark2000's requests with "grain of salt". The CIDR/24 blocks looks like aggresive overreach by requestor. Do you know this is static or dynamic or not? I don't think requestor knows. He just randomly throwing out /24 or sometimes /22 requests to you and hope it sticks. But he got no expertise or access to CU tools.

@Ruslik0: I found one more sleeper (the contributions obviously indicate that it's him). Can you please lock the account and also Globally / Locally Rangeblock the IPs for at least 6-12 months (specifically, an "anon-only" block to prevent collateral)? This LTA immediately resumed cross-wiki abuse 2 days after the last 6-month Global/Local Rangeblock expired (on the larger /21 range). This LTA's IPs are semi-dynamic, so they change every 2-4 weeks, but are usually restricted to 1 or 2 ranges at a time. At least 90% to 95% of all of his IPs within the last 3 years can be traced back to this range (with the exception of another inactive range), so a rangeblock on this range should effectively keep him from being about to sock until its expiration. Incidentally, this range is currently being abused by at least 1 or 2 other cross-wiki LTAs (active on en.wiki, es.wiki, and possibly others), which have resulted in a smaller, separate rangeblock on en.wiki (181.49.88.0/23), so a Global Block would be able to prevent cross-wiki abuse from ROXELANA22 and the other LTAs on this range. This page on Commons indicates that he has been abusing this range for almost 3 years now, and given the severity of the cross-wiki abuse, I personally believe that account creation and IP editing from anons should be restricted until the abuse winds down. (An "anon-only" block should allow unrelated users on that range to continue editing, and unregistered users should still be able to contact the Stewards for account creation.) Thank you. LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 22:11, 5 March 2019 (UTC) Reply
- In terms of possible collateral, the /22 subnet has a significantly smaller potential collateral than the larger /21 range, and recently, there have been several Rangeblocks enacted that have a significantly larger collateral damage than the range listed above, including 2607:fb90::/32. That range has enormous collateral, and yet, it has been locally rangeblocked up to 3 years, and Globally Rangeblocked multiple times due to the recent abuse. At the same time, the vandalism from the "Dog and rapper vandal" (the main LTA on that range) has never actually reached the severity of ROXELANA22. I can guarantee that within 1 month, if this LTA hasn't been rangeblocked, he will generate another string of cross-wiki socks, as seen last year. Given the abuse from this LTA and other cross-wiki vandals, I believe that it's in the best interest of the Projects for the IPs to be blocked. The IPs also need to be blocked on Meta, because he also socks on this site, as observed in some of the socks from this month. (He has also issued death threats to me and other users, so I'm considered whether or not to notify WMF of the abuse.) LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 22:11, 5 March 2019 (UTC) Reply

- Ruslik (and anyone else reading this), I'm sure you're well aware that the comments from the IP above are basically trolling, specifically by the LTA Arturo Gustavo. As I've already told him, he is still quite clueless about how I run my anti-vandal operations (or even my extensive vandal/LTA research), and obviously, none of what he said above accurately describes what I was trying to accomplish. I could go into more detail explaining why I do stuff the way that I do (and also how I know how to hunt down LTAs and find their recent ranges), but I'd rather not go into more detail on this at the moment. I actually think that Arturo's a bit paranoid (especially towards CUs), though I can't really blame him there, given his socking as an LTA. LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 06:59, 8 March 2019 (UTC) Reply
- Some explanations sounds like partially legitimate, however some explanations looks like grasping the straws. Arturo has some good working relationships with 2 or 3 en~CheckUsers. The CIDR /24, /23, /22 blocks should dish out conservatively because avoid collateral is best. Only reason to do CIDR blocks is avoid to revealing the Lima Tango Alpha's underlying IP.
- Also, L&D2k behavior need to closely monitor because more and more Stewards and now Global Sysops (example: Billinghurst) are impacted negatively due to him. How to regulate his petulances and anti-community behaviors? --12.27.65.221 23:28, 10 March 2019 (UTC) Reply

Just want to request a checkup for the Steward requests/Checkuser for zh.wiki since there has been no steward doing the requests for 5 days.

Спасибо--Di Mon 2711 14:07, 12 May 2019 (UTC) Reply
- @Dimon2711: Why do you want to block me globally? Yes, I'm currentlu blocked in ruwiki and enwiki, but I will try to get unblocked there later. --Rausch (talk) 09:25, 14 May 2019 (UTC) Reply
Удачи!--Di Mon 2711 10:49, 14 May 2019 (UTC) Reply
hr.wikiquote
[4] Hello, of the actually active users on hr.wikiquote one was the candidate, three voted and the rest actually active not. User "Orijentacija"; is a novice, Risto hot sir is a non-Croatian user, users NahidSultan and 1997kB have exclusively renamed users renamed. There was therefore a consensus between the actually active users. --Mateo K 01 (talk) 22:42, 12 May 2019 (UTC) Reply
