About me
Based in New York, I began my career as a policy researcher for high-tech trade associations in Washington, DC. I fell in love with understanding how people access high-quality information on the web while studying International Affairs and globalization at George Washington University. Since 2013, I have focused my work on audience and content strategies for newsrooms including Reuters, where I began as an audience engagement editor. I have worked on the front lines of finding new ways to reach audiences on emerging platforms, including planning two Snapchat Discover channels and overseeing social media strategy for television, radio, and print media organizations. On my off days, I report on breaking news and social media trends (for more, read my essay "From Pinning Tweets to Tweeting Pins" at Neiman Lab). In 2016, I founded the Internet Review, a magazine about internet culture and politics, which was funded by a Kickstarter.
My work
I'm a writer for the Wikimedia Foundation communications team, developing content for their global awareness campaigns as well as for Wikimania in 2017.
