I recommend collapsing the No Original Research policy on Wikipedia. It has no real benefits and serves only to restrict users. I remember people used to have a relaxed attitude to NOR on Wikipedia. It was thought of more as a guideline than a rule. People would bear it in mind but disregard it if it was diminishing the quality of an article and it was only nutter deletionists who treated it like gospel.
