The image of the pig started spreading online in September 2025, originating on Facebook, becoming increasingly popularized in late October and early November of that year, inspiring a variety of memes, including image macros. Oftentimes, the image is used to represent an ugly person or someone with a bad haircut.

On September 12th, 2025, Facebook^[1] user Arctic posted a collection of AI-generated images of animals with buzz cuts, including a pig, garnering over 53,000 reactions and 10,000 shares in two months.

Spread

The image of the pig with a buzzed haircut spread over the following weeks in late 2025 as a meme.

On September 22nd, 2025, Instagram ^[2] user therealsinglelife posted an image macro using the pig meme under the caption, "how my ex looked once the attachment wore off," garnering over 6,000 likes in just over a month.

On the same day, Tumblr ^[3] user himynameisemail posted the image of the pig, garnering over 15,000 notes in the same span of time.

On October 2nd, Instagram^[4] user zapkkkkk posted a meme using a similar image of the pig with the buzz cut, garnering over 62,000 likes in a month.

On November 3rd, 2025, Instagram^[5] user hardest_moments posted the pig image, garnering over 107,000 likes in three days.
