Pinot is a small M&IC capacity resource for small to moderate parallel jobs. See our Confluence FAQ (authentication required) for more information on how to obtain an account on the iSNSI network.
NOTE These details are about Pinot v2; there was also a Pinot v1 in 2012
Job Limits
Each LC platform is a shared resource. Users are expected to adhere to the following usage policies to ensure that the resources can be effectively and productively used by everyone. You can view the policies on a system itself by running:

Web version of Pinot Job Limits
There are 186 compute nodes, with 36 cores and 128 GiB of memory on each node.
Jobs are scheduled per node. Pinot has 2 scheduling pools (or partitions):
- pdebug—4 nodes, interactive use only.
- pbatch—182 nodes, batch use only.
Pools Max nodes/job Max runtime ------------------------------------------------ pdebug 4 1 hour pbatch 138 12 hours ------------------------------------------------
Please be a good neighbor. During normal work hours, Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-6:00PM (Pacific time), we request users be considerate of other Pinot users and not utilize more than half of the pdebug nodes at a time. Please also do not stack the pdebug queue. The pdebug queue is scheduled using fairshare.
Hardware
Each node has 2 18-core Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4 (Broadwell) processors (2.1 GHz) and 128 GiB of memory. Pinot uses an Intel Omni-Path high speed interconnect.
Scheduling
Pinot jobs are scheduled through SLURM
